2025年3月2日下午,南洋理工大学黄竟朝教授在西区力学五楼901会议室受邀为我院师生做学术报告,报告题目为“绿色节能HVAC的发展前景与压缩机研发经验交流大会”。报告会由工程科学学院热科学和能源工程系程文龙教授主持。
黄竟朝教授在分享中深入介绍了新加坡南洋理工大学的概况及其科研工作的创新。
在学校介绍方面,黄竟朝教授阐述了南洋理工大学严谨而高效的学校组织架构,以及该校在全球合作领域所展现出的强大影响力。南洋理工大学与世界各地顶尖学府及研究机构建立了深厚的伙伴关系,共同致力于推动教育创新与科技进步。黄教授特别强调了AI在大学教育中的革新意义,指出南洋理工大学正积极拥抱这一趋势,通过智能化手段提升教学质量与学习体验。此外,他还介绍了大学的战略发展方向,聚焦于科技创新与可持续发展,致力于培养具有全球视野和创新能力的人才。
在科研工作方面,黄竟朝教授重点介绍了南洋理工大学在压缩机领域的研究与创新成果。他提到,该校的研究团队在压缩机设计上取得了多项突破性进展,其中包括受往复式压缩机启发提出的压电式压缩机、结合往复式和旋转式压缩机优点的线性旋摆往复式压缩机、受滚动活塞压缩机启发设计的摆动活塞式压缩机等。尤为值得一提的是,南洋理工大学的旋转叶片压缩机在减少摩擦能量损失方面取得了显著成效,赢得了国际大奖的认可。此外,黄教授还分享了团队最新设计的耦合叶片压缩机,该创新设计通过优化转子结构,大幅缩减了转子占据气缸的体积,节约了制造材料并降低了能耗,这一成果也荣获了台湾TECO Green Award。
报告人简介
Professor Ooi Kim Tiow is a distinguished Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, with over 35 years of pioneering contributions to compressor technology. His groundbreaking innovations, including the revolving vane and coupled vane compressors, have led to multiple commercialized inventions. His exceptional research has earned him prestigious international accolades such as the World’s Best Technology Award and the IMechE Donald Julius Prize, and he has been recognized among Stanford’s top 2% scientists (2021–2024). A highly sought-after keynote speaker, he continues to drive advancements in compressor modelling and optimization, integrating cutting-edge techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks, while serving as a consultant to leading global compressor companies.
Beyond research, Professor Ooi has held key leadership positions at NTU, including Associate Chair (Academic), Chair of MAE, and Associate Provost (Alumni). Under his leadership, the school achieved a top‐10 global ranking twice. A passionate educator, he has been honored with the Nanyang Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Nanyang Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Proceedings of the IMechE, Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering.
